In today's documentary, Felix Mendelssohn's 'Violin Concerto' is discussed. Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy (1809-1847) was the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig's first conductor. Violinist Frank Michael Erben and musicologist Armin Koch reveal how the composer created a musically rich and virtuoso piece that remains a popular favourite with audiences until today.
