This documentary by Frank Scheffer includes rehearsals and performances by the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Berlin Philharmonic and the Vienna Philharmonic during the major Mahler festival which took place in May 1995 at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. This documentary offers important new interpretations of Gustav Mahler's work by major conductors and orchestras, redefining his position in the modern age.
