Geertekerk, Utrecht, The Netherlands. 'True lovers of Italian music' is how the musicians of the young ensemble L'Escadron volant de la Reine describe themselves. Their fascination with Naples resulted in a programme for Holy Week. A sonata by Ziani, a motet by Caresana and a dialogue by Nola embrace two 'leçons de ténebres' by Alessandro Scarlatti. His Miserere and Sinfonia Terremoto provide the turbulent final note.
